So this was my first snow run, and the phone didn't like the cold or wet and refused to work properly. It was actually 3.56 miles and was a real workout as the snow was quite deep.
Great fun though as I ran at 8am so it was fresh and mostly untouched. It started snowing midway through the run and hasn't really stopped all day. Tomorrow will be my first ice run I think! It was so nice to run in the daylight - even if it was going towards the end of the run. Ran my normal route so I could see where the new road is going.
Decent run to the sports centre and then looped back again. Meant the run was fairly flat which after a tough week at work meant I could do over the 3 miles and in a reasonable time.
Another 3 miles tonight using my normal route but adding an extra lap of the street to get past the 3 mile target.
Back to my old route in the dark but with lights it was fine. They are doing work on the road so it's quiet - only a couple of barriers to negotiate.
Wanted a long run so did a 6.5 mile lap of the Rugby half marathon course. Only problem was that it was at 6pm and very dark - meant I could see the cards in plenty of time but family not happy with that route - so don't think I will do it again unless it is light. Good run though!
A special run today - my first 5k Santa Run. Was 4 seconds outside my personal best in a time of 27:30 so slightly gutted with that but had a lot of fun with the hundreds of other Santas!
Spent the day stripping our shower out and taking a wall down so pretty bushed from that, so only a short run this evening and an OK time.
