Down in Aberystwyth today so an early run on the promenade in the cold sea spray. The video below shows how dark it was and how noisy it was with the wind! It did clear around 6.45 so I managed to do some of the run on the beach which was great, if not slow as running on wet sand is not easy.

So that's 100 runs and what a great way to celebrate:
Very happy with that! Very different route tonight to deliver a present on the way. Meant I had a few extra hills today including one that was far too steep for so early in the run! Looking fotward to the 100 run milestone tomorrow.
Slightly longer run tonight to hit the magic 3 mile average mark across the 98 runs so far. Time was irrelevant today because a dog was running down the main road and so they became the focus of attention. Others were looking for him so I hope he is OK.
Another good solid run over my favourite route. Not particularly going for time but building stamina. Difficult as well when you are having to second guess car drivers because they are not using indicators and just turn in on your despite the yellow top, orange hat and head torch!
Well that was harder than it needed to be!
I stopped to adjust some tape covering a couple of key parts, and even though the phone said it was restarting the run, I did a good 30 seconds without it picking up again. So I decided to keep going to get 3 miles in, but that meant doing another hill which slowed the time down. Early start as I was running the music for the National Masters Synchronised Swimming Champs so decided to run there. I needed 3.2 miles to make 30 for the week, and despite heavy rain completed the challenge.
That's my first week breaking the 30 mile barrier! A really good run tonight. Didn't think I would manage to get 3 miles in but in just over 29 minutes I was really pleased.
And after a quick shower and meal its off to lead a 5 mile night hike for our church youth group followed by toasting marshmallows in a fire pit. |
